Welcome to the November edition of “In Bloom with Freeda”, our monthly series where we celebrate our florist partners creativity and journey in the floral world. This month, we’re thrilled to feature Claudia, the talented owner behind Frankie & Flora, a boutique floral studio known for its whimsy flair. From humble beginnings with a flower truck to curating stunning wedding installations, Claudia shares her journey, inspirations, and favourite trends in floristry. Let’s dive in!
What year did you open your shop? How many people are in your team?
2018 was when the flower truck first started attending markets & parking up roadside in Cambridge. The Cambridge studio/workshop space has been around for a year. Just me! Freelancers help out during the busier summer months setting up weddings & events.

What inspired you to become a florist?
I’ve always enjoyed anything creative. I’d studied Fine Arts & Interior Design and floristry seemed to be the perfect fit, designing abstract bouquets for beautiful spaces – win win!
What is your favourite Freeda flower to work with?
I like the daisy spray chrysanths for dainty bouquets & peony puffball chrysanthemums for larger installs. Also a huge fan of lisianthus!.

What is your favourite season for blooms and why?
Hard to choose! Probably around November when all the dainty floaty florals are starting to bloom just in time for peak wedding season!
What is the best part of being a florist?
The constant creative freedom alongside hearing the ‘why’ behind my customers bouquet purchases – New home, birthdays, anniversary etc
What is your favourite flower to have at home?
Anemones!
What is one floral trend you’re loving right now?
I love the addition of pearls & bows, adding playful touches to bouquets. Also a huge fan of structured, modern, clean wedding ceremony set ups!
What do you love about partnering with Freeda?
Freeda has the most amazing easy to use website, beautiful stock, their staff are incredible & I love how local to Cambridge they are!
